HIKING PATHS, CLIMBING AREAS AND ARTIFICIAL CLIMBING WALL IN THE LEDESMA AREA
Historically, this town was considered a crossroads. Many a road and path arrived and departed from here, communicating the villages in the Ledesma area with the rest of the region. Most of these were basically livestock paths(know traditionally by names like cañadas, cordeles, veredas…) which with the passing of time and the abandonment of the old markets, had fallen into disuse.
For this reason, and with the intention of letting people know the beauty of the environment these paths cross, as well as providing a place to practice outdoor activities, some of these paths have recently been re-established for hiking.
And for those into climbing, the main climbing areas have also been signposted. In addition to this, in order for the youngest members of the family to practice this activity, an artificial climbing wall has been set at the back of the fronton (walled court), within the Los Cardos sports complex.
